Record A Review for Game On!

Have you always wanted to record your own review for Game On! like our pals Hedges 1001 and Dookie Diablo? Well now you can thanks to this super easy step by step guide which we dedicate to Fluffy Nuts who unfortunately had some recent audio problems while recording something for the show.

Step 1
First things first – get yourself a microphone. We don’t use professional gear (obviously, have you heard our show?) so any microphone will do.

Step 2
Get Audacity – this is what will record the stuff you’re saying.

Step 3
In the bottom left hand corner check that the project rate is 44100

Step 4
Hit the big red circle record button

Step 5
Talk about something gaming related – it could be a review, preview, your own 100% segment, Gaming Enema segment, thoughts on a topic or news story. You should blue waves when you’re recording so you know it’s working.

Step 6
Hit the stop button when you’re done.

Step 7
Get the lame LAME MP3 Encoder from here. Install it but don’t change the Install Destination.

Step 8
Go back to Audacity and select File, Export. Make sure Save Type is MP3. You’ll get asked where the lame Lame.dll file is – it should be C:\Program Files\Lame for Audacity. Select Options next to the Save Type. Make sure the quality is 256kbps and Channel Mode is Stereo.

Step 9
Send the MP3 to your pals at gameonpodcastis@gmail and we’ll add some kick ass background music and put it in the next show.

Step 10
Download Game On! and enjoy the final product.
